(Kôhei hears the doors open behind him. Still holding the bloody knife, he turns slowly and silently, with a hopeless, dejected look upon his face.)

Kôhei: (Slowly, grimly) … Listen, I… um…

(The young man’s solemn expression soon changes to one of utter disbelief.)

 Kôhei: Um… huh?

(He sees that it is Mikoto who has burst into the room, looking quite out of breath.)

Mikoto: (Panting) Hey Keiji-san!... I got over here … *whew*… as fast as I could!

(Mikoto leans on Kôhei’s shoulder, putting a hand over her chest as she catches her breath.)

Kôhei: Taki-san!? What are you doing here!?

Mikoto: I got over here as fast as I could… I was looking for you!

Kôhei: (Dumbfounded) What for?

Mikoto: I was going to ask you about your friend, er… Kanagawa-san, right?

Kôhei: (Still dumbfounded) Yeah… what about him?

Mikoto: (Grinning) Well… he looked kinda cute. I’d like to get to know him sometime!

(Mikoto then spots the bloody knife in Kôhei’s hands, and also notices the bodies slumped over on the desk and floor. Still grinning, albeit a little more worriedly, she looks back up at him.)

Mikoto: (Unsure) Hey…  I didn’t come in at a bad time, did I?

(Suddenly, dozens of heavily-armored Kidôtai, all armed with semi-automatic machine guns, pour into the room, surrounding Kôhei & Mikoto. The sound of the weapons’ safety switches clicking off fills the air, and the two young people just stand absolutely still. There is a long silence, finally broken by Kôhei.)

Kôhei: (Sarcastic) Couldn’t have timed it better.

Kamen Rider Sigma

Episode 9: Strange Partner

("Hen’na Aite")

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

(Back at the SOUL complex, Kyôko slowly begins to come to. She puts a hand to her head and shakes it to clear her blurred vision, then looking around confusedly.)

Kyôko: (Muttering) What… what the… Seul!!! Where is she?

(Kyôko rises, looking around angrily, but finds nothing. She then sees that the once-obstructed doorway is now open, and rushes towards it, stopping momentarily to grab her stomach and wince in pain. As she leaves, she doesn’t notice that down in the utterly decimated laboratory below, something makes its way around the corpses and destroyed equipment. The sounds of the glass shards crunching beneath its feet are mixed with its heavy, deep breathing. The mysterious figure locates a slightly tattered notebook amidst the wreckage, and a neon yellow-skinned, three-fingered claw with strange, greenish hair surrounding the wrist reaches down to snatch it out of one of the dead scientists’ hands.)

***

(Meanwhile, back up above…)

Tiger-Tora: (Shocked) What!? Kamen Rider Lilith!?

Maya: (Thinking) Another Kamen Rider!?!

(Kamen Rider Lilith gives a little nod and taps her fingers on her hips. Tiger-Tora roars defiantly and strikes a battle pose.)

Tiger-Tora: TOOOOOOOOOORRRRRAAAAAHHHHHH! Well, whatever, I’ll teach you for interfering with us!

(Lilith cocks her head to the side once again, as if straightening one last kink out in her neck, and then drops her hands to her sides and stands up straight.)

Lilith: (Coolly) Bring it.

Tiger-Tora: (Snarling) GRRRRRRRR...DIE!!!

(Tiger-Tora runs straight at the new Rider, thrashing his tire-arm about madly. Lilith just stands there, gazing coldly towards her opponent. As the Geier monstrosity draws ever closer, sweat pours down Maya’s brow as she stares bewildered at the newcomer. Then, when Tiger-Tora is within arms reach…)

Tiger-Tora: (Roaring) TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRAAAA—

(But the Kaijin’s fearsome battle cry is cut short as Lilith swiftly kicks him right in the stomach. Stunned, he doubles over, just in time for her other foot to connect with his face, sending him flying backwards. He hits the ground and continues sliding, sending sparks left and right. Lilith slowly lowers her leg and again rolls her neck. Tiger-Tora eventually comes to a stop, and slowly rises from the ground, looking visibly shaken by his attack’s effortless defeat. Lilith’s long black hair and scarf blow in the wind. She flexes her hands a bit.)

Lilith: (Coldly) That all you got?

Tiger-Tora: TIGER-TIRE!

(The massive feline cyborg sends another one of his deadly tires swirling towards the dark Rider, but Lilith just casually bats it out of the air with a wave, sending it careening off to explode somewhere behind her.)

Lilith: (Bored) Gesu… You’re nothing she can’t handle.

(Her last words are punctuated by a nod towards Maya. Lilith leaps into the air, and Tiger-Tora prepares for an oncoming Rider Kick, but to his surprise she back-flips onto her motorcycle, revs up and does a 360 spin right before plowing straight into him, knocking him right back down again. Just as soon as she came, Lilith takes off into the night, the sound of her vehicle steadily growing fainter and fainter in the distance. The mutant monstrosity, quite unhappy over his sudden thrashing, rises up quickly, snarling.)

Tiger-Tora: GRRRRRRR… Why are you running away, Rider!? Come back and fight me!

(Suddenly, remembering her last words, Tiger-Tora turns to find Maya… gone.)

Tiger-Tora: (Screaming) WHY THAT LITTLE @#$&%!!! GRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! TOOOOOOOOOOORAAAAHHHH! GRRRR! GGGGAAAHHH! GRRRAAHHH! GRRRRR!!! TOOOOORRRRAAAHHH!!!

(The Geier Kaijin loses it, thrashing about at thin air madly as the nearby flames of his former comrades finally begin to die down. Tiger-Tora continues his tantrum, smashing the bushes and other granite obstructions out of his way, until a clawed hand suddenly grabs his tire-wielding arm, pulling it aside. Growling, the tiger mutant turns to see Hitode-Compass.)

Tiger-Tora: (Eyes blazing) You! Why didn’t you help me out back there!?

Hitode-Compass: (Annoyed) Hmmmph. I was busy. Plus, by the time I showed up, it was pretty obvious how things were going to play out. So I figured I’d rather just sit back and watch.

(Tiger-Tora forcefully pulls his arm away from the other Kaijin’s grip, and paces back and forth, balling his right fist and again slashing at the air with his tire-wielding left arm. Hitode-Compass just stands, arms folded.)

Tiger-Tora: (Furious) GRRRR… ”Kamen Rider Lilith”… who was that anyway!? I don’t remember the Shuryô mentioning anything about her!

Hitode-Compass: (Scoffing) Right now you should be more concerned with other matters… such as how you and Rêdagan-Cheetah have failed miserably.

Tiger-Tora: (Snarling) What!? But we retrieved the—

Hitode-Compass: (Cutting him off) … And you failed to eliminate all witnesses, including Seul, that blasted CIA agent… and Sigma.

Tiger-Tora: @#%$! I’ll get them yet! And that new Kamen Rider, the next time she—

Hitode-Compass: (Cutting him off again) Wrong! We’re moving onto the next phase, which means it’s my turn. You’re job is finished.

Tiger-Tora: (Snapping) WHAT!? Just try and stop me!

Hitode-Compass: (Cruelly) If I must… it’ll be a pleasure!

(The two Geier Kaijin circle each other, preparing to fight. Tire-Tora pulls out another of his explosive tires, while the latecomer Kaijin unveils another of his deadly Hitode-Bakudan.)

Tiger-Tora: TOOOOOOORRRRRAAAAAHHHHH...

Hitode-Compass: KOOOONNNNPPPPAAAAASUUUUU...

(But just as the two mutant cyborgs are about to go at it, a third player enters the game.)

New Kaijin: Enough!

Tiger-Tora & Hitode-Compass: Nanatsu-Kemushi!

(The new Kaijin, Nanatsu-Kemushi, emerges from the shadows.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI! This arguing is pointless. Besides, we now have all that really matters…

(The brightly-skinned caterpillar Kaijin holds up the tattered notebook stolen from the lab. The name on the cover is “Doctor Arcadias L. Seul”.)

***

(Risa Sylvia Seul makes her way across the roof of the facility towards a waiting helicopter. The wind whips fiercely around her, blowing her hair away, revealing a deep scar on the right side of her face. Several of her security guards await her at the chopper, but just as she is about to climb aboard…)

Kyôko: (Yelling) Seul!

(Risa turns to see Kyôko standing at the exit leading back down into the complex, aiming her pistol. Risa’s men pull out their own handguns, but she motions for them to back down.)

Kyôko: You’re not going anywhere!

Risa: Still think you can pin something on me, Fujiwara?

Kyôko: I know I can pin something on you.

Risa: (Laughing hysterically) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh really? And again I ask, would you shoot me if I resisted?

Kyôko: If I have to…

(She cocks the pistol.)

Risa: (Rolling eye) But you won’t, of course.

Kyôko: What makes you so sure!?

Risa: Because you’re weak, just like your father was when he could have shot mine!

(Risa turns to board her helicopter, and Kyôko, looking quite disturbed, slowly lowers her weapon. She stands watching as the vehicle begins to lift off the ground, the wind force sending her hair in all directions. Risa, safely behind the bullet-proof glass, peers out the window down at the CIA agent, and smiles viciously. Kyôko stands silently, looking almost spaced-out, but as the helicopter takes off into the distance, her expression changes to one of determination and anger.)

(Meanwhile, back at the Tokyo MPD, Kôhei attempts to smooth-talk his way out of his sticky situation. As the armored riot police keep their weapons trained on them, other officers have arrived to detain & question the suspects, and the CSI people are busily examining the scene.)

Kôhei: (Desperate) Listen guys, I swear it’s not what it looks like! I’m telling you, this whole thing was a big set-up!

Officer #1: (Annoyed) Kurobe… for the last time, could you please make use of your “right to remain silent”, at least for five minutes!?

Kôhei: (Frantic) Shut up and listen to me already! I’ve been framed!

(He pauses, remembering the girl standing next to him and currently elbowing him in the ribs.)

Kôhei: And another thing, Taki-san here is totally innocent! She came in after the murders…

(He pauses again, and thinks for a moment.)

Kôhei: Uh, but that doesn’t mean I’m not innocent! I mean, I was here during the murders, but I didn’t commit them!

Mikoto: (Nodding) What he said!

Officer #1: (Ignoring them) You were both present at the scene of the crime, so you’re both considered suspects.

Kôhei: No way! She came in after I was already here— and by the way, I’m no suspect— I’m your #1 witness! I saw the whole thing happen! It was Senior Officer #2!

(The assembled investigators and riot police all pause briefly, looking lost for words.)

Kôhei: Division Chief Shirotani! The one who’s a big, fat, stupid jer—

Familiar Voice: Kurobe!

(Kôhei stops cold, grits his teeth, and turns to see Shirotani, aka Senior Officer #2 stroll in. Unthinking, he attacks the man in a blind rage, slugging him across the face. Officers descend on him, restraining him as he snarls angrily at the older man.)

Kôhei: (Furious) YOU! You rotten—

Senior Officer #2: (Holding face, cutting him off) If you need any more proof that this man is a deadly killer… there it is.

Kôhei: WHAT!? That’s the flimsiest reasoning I’ve ever—

Officer #3: Alright Kurobe, let’s go!

(Kôhei again resists, but the other officers force handcuffs on him and push him out of the room as the Senior Officer straightens his tie and brushes himself off. Mikoto, looking hopeless & dejected, soon follows. As he is brought out though, Kôhei turns his neck and shouts back.)

Kôhei: (Shouting) You just wait, Guy R! You aren’t getting away with this! Kamen Rider Sigma will— hey, HEY! Watch the hair!

Officer #4: Keep moving!

Senior Officer #2: (Thinking) Too late, you miserable detective… you’ve finally run out of time, and out of luck.

(Back down at the outskirts of the SOUL Foundation complex, Maya, holding her arm and shuffling along slowly back towards her motorcycle, is lost deep in thought.)

Maya: (Thinking) I don’t believe it… another Kamen Rider! I’ve got to get in touch with Oyassan and ask him about this. I remember him mentioning him a few others… but I got the impression they were all… well, guys. Maybe this one is new, like me? But where did she come from? And why did she somehow feel vaguely familiar? I could swear I’ve heard that voice before…

(Maya then spots Kyôko, looking rather dejected, and waves to her. Kyôko notices Maya and rushes over to meet her.)

Kyôko: Ryûsaki! What happened to you?

Maya: (Sighing) I think I might have pulled my arm back there. As for Geier, those creatures SOUL revived are history.

Kyôko: Really? And the others?

Maya: Well, I’m pretty sure the cheetah one won’t be coming back for a while. As for the other— um, he escaped, but it was kind of strange…

Kyôko: (Narrowing eyes) What do you mean, “strange”?

Maya: Another Kamen Rider appeared… “Kamen Rider Lilith”.

(The older woman pauses for a moment, showing no sign of familiarity with the name, but neither expressing outright interest. Maya shifts uncomfortably at the silence.)

Kyôko: Hmmm… “Kamen Rider Lilith”? I don’t recall hearing about that one.

Maya: That makes two of us. What about Seul? Where’d she—

Kyôko: (Looking down) She… escaped…

Maya: Oh, great. Any idea where she might be headed? I’ve got a few more words for—

(Kyôko, sighing, just walks off. Maya watches after her, tilting her head. But her thoughts are interrupted as he cell phone rings. She instinctively tries to pull it out of her pocket with her dislocated arm, but winces in pain and instead reaches across with the other. She flips it open and puts it up to her ear.)

Maya: (Irked) Moshimoshi?… Kôhei-kun!? Where have— Uh-huh… Yeah… Mikoto’s there? I need to— Yeah, what?

(There is a long pause as Maya listens intently. Her expression suddenly goes from slight worry to disgusted disbelief.)

Maya: (Yelling) YOU’RE WHAT!?

 ***

(Kanto Detention Center. It has been several hours since the previous night’s ordeal ended, and the sun is just beginning to rise. A lone car drives past the heavily guarded entrance, coming to a stop outside the main building of the compound. Kanagawa & Maya, her arm now in a sling, get out and walk quickly along. They enter the compound and are escorted by several guardsmen. Both are brought into one of the visiting rooms. A counter and large, thick glass pane split it in half. On the other side, Kôhei & Mikoto sit, their handcuffed wrists resting on their laps below the counter. Both attempt to stand slightly as they see their friends enter, but quickly sit down again as they are reminded of the guards waiting behind them. Kanagawa & Maya take a seat on the other side of the glass, one of the guards whispers something to Kanagawa, and then everyone but the four exit through the heavy doors on either side. Kanagawa clears his throat.)

Kanagawa: (Serious) Okay, Kurobe-san. It took a lot of string-pulling to get a totally private chat session like this one, so I need you to be totally clear with me. Did—

Kôhei: (Frantic) I didn’t do it! It wasn’t me! I swear! Kanagawa, listen to me! I’m telling you, I was framed! Ryûsaki-san! Listen to me, I… Hey, what’s with the arm?

(Kanagawa sighs, and Maya & Mikoto roll their eyes.)

Maya: (Grouchy) Listen Kôhei-kun, I’m not in the mood for the cheap theatrics right now. Both Kanagawa-san and I know you’re innocent. Mikoto… well, I’m at least pretty sure she’s innocent.

(Mikoto frowns.)

Maya: What I want to know is, what the heck happened here?

Kanagawa: (Jumping in) I filled her in on what I knew on the way over here. But we want to hear your version of the story.

Kôhei: (Putting fists on table) One of the Division Chiefs…that Shirotani guy— he’s not really him! He’s one of those Guy R monsters!

Maya: (Shocked) What!?

Kanagawa: (Puzzled) “Guy R?”

Kôhei: It was all a set-up. He murdered the Commissioner and one of the other senior chiefs, and left it to look like I did the killing— which I didn’t by the way— and disappeared. Then Taki-san came in, and it all went straight to—

(Kanagawa looks up, as if he’ll find some semblance of sanity on the ceiling.)

Kanagawa: Listen Kurobe-san. The initial investigation of the crime scene has concluded that one of the deaths was a stabbing, whereas the other one was… well, I don’t know what it was, but the guy looked like he has been burned from the inside out. I don’t know how they can finger that one on you, but as for the Commissioner…

Kôhei: Hey, what about the knife? Did they check the blood on it? Because it was already bloody before the Commissioner was stabbed. Therefore it can’t be the same!

Kanagawa: Forensics is working on that right now. Anyways, that knife— with your fingerprints on it— is the only real piece of evidence they have on you right now. As for Taki-san there… uh… well…

(Kanagawa trails off as he sees Mikoto is staring at him, her eyes sparkling as if entranced. His own eyes meet hers, although his response isn’t quite as enthusiastic.)

Kanagawa: (Stuttering) Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-maybe… con…. con-con-convincing them of her-her-her-her inno-no-no-nooooo… uh… nocence will… will be… be… be…

(As a sweating Kanagawa loses his composure, Maya quickly jumps in.)

Maya: Whatever happens, don’t worry, we’ll figure something out.

Kôhei: (Disappointed) What? Is that supposed to be reassuring!?

Maya: (Snapping) Can it, Kôhei-kun! I’ve kind of got other things on my mind right now.

Kôhei: More important that me!?

Maya: … Yes!

Kôhei: (Skeptical) Like what?

Maya: (Agitated) I’ll tell you some other time. Right now, we need to find some way to get you out of here!

(Maya briefly pauses, thinking for a moment.)

Maya: … Er, preferably some legal way.

Kôhei: I sure hope you do— I used up my one call for you!

Maya: (Surprised) You did? Then who called Kanagawa-san?

Mikoto: (Raising hand, excitedly) Me! Speaking of which, Kanagawa-san, are you free anytime soon?

Kanagawa: (Nervously) Uh… well, I’ll have to… uh… um… ah, check. Yeah. Check my schedule. Uh…

Maya: (Frowning) Unless you guys are planning on going out for dinner at the penitentiary mess hall, put the breaks on your weekend plans until after we get you out of this dump.

Kôhei: (Taken aback) Hey! Are you calling one of the justice system’s finest correctional institutions a dump!?

Maya: (Annoyed) Shut up, Kôhei-kun!

Mikoto: Say Kanagawa-san, maybe next time Keiji-san and Maya go out for a date, we can make it a double!

Maya: (Shocked) WHAT!?

Kôhei: (Enthused) Hey, what a great idea!

(Kanagawa turns as pale as a ghost.)

Maya: (Angry) Mikoto! We’re not—

Kôhei: And conveniently, I know a great pl—

Maya: (Even more angry) Kôhei!

Mikoto: (Cheerful) Alright! All we need is a time and date—

Kanagawa: (Groaning) Ohhhh…

(Kanagawa slumps over, his head banging on the glass and slowly drifting down while no one pays attention.)

Maya: (Furious) MIKOTO! You’re not helping here!!!

Kôhei: Hey! There you go again, not calling me Kôhei-kun

Maya: (On the verge of throwing a tantrum) Shut up, Kôhei-kun!!! Look, I don’t know what we’re going to do, but somehow, someway, we’re getting you guys out of this mess. As much as I trust the investigative prowess of the law… this isn’t your usual murder mystery. Not with Geier involved.

Kôhei & Kanagawa: (Curious) What was that?

Maya: (Embarrassed) Huh? What!? Oh, uh, nothing…

(Maya grins nervously.)

(Meanwhile, Risa is sitting in yet another dark room, clearly somewhere on the SOUL complex, as when she peers through the horizontal blinds, she spots a construction crew working on demolishing what’s left of the building under which the secret restricted lab was based. She pulls back the well-manicured hand holding the blinds down, and swivels her chair. Standing a ways away from her is the mysterious person from the previous episode, who we see is a well-dressed foreign man that appears to be in his late 50's/ early 60's, or possibly older. His hair and beard are light grayish/white, his skin is mottled and wrinkled, the wear and tear of old age having clearly set in some time ago. He is dressed in a finely tailored white silk suit, and his black necktie stands out as starkly as blood on freshly fallen snow. He holds a newspaper in his large, powerful-looking hands. A newspaper he soon crumples and tosses aside, sending it perfectly into a nearby SOUL-made wastebasket. Once again, he speaks in his soft but chilling voice.)

Man: (Gruffly) Not bad, Seul. Several dozen of your people are injured, burned, mutilated, or otherwise very dead; part of your facility destroyed beyond repair; your entire “pet project” an utter disaster… and not a word of it in the papers.

Risa: (Smugly) The bodies and any other… “questionable parts” were removed long before the work crews arrived. As far as they or anyone else knows, it’s just another routine demolition job.

Man: And what about the survivors? Surely they must know something?

Risa: Aside from my… ex-partners, no one who survived last night is of any concern to me. The cover-up is far too extensive for that meddling CIA agent to be able to do anything about it.

Man: And the other… that “Ryûsaki” woman featured in the videotapes?

Risa: Her? (Waving hand) A nobody. Nothing to be concerned about.

(Risa closes her eyes, and leans back in her chair.)

Man: That’s where you’re wrong, Seul.

(Risa’s eyes snap open, and she grows steadily more uneasy as the enigmatic man walks over towards her and circles around, slowly, like a vulture circling its prey. Her fingernails dig into the soft armrests, her breathing grows deeper. Beads of sweat form on her forehead.)

Man: (Dryly) I think there’s some things you haven’t been telling me about, Risa. You seem to forget, that without me, you wouldn’t be where you are right now. You wouldn’t be in charge of one of the most powerful corporations on Earth. No, you’d be little more than a young, wealthy socialite with no purpose, no reason for existence. To simply squander and enjoy the best life has to offer, taking what you want from the world… like some filthy disease. That’s all you’d be, really. But with me… look what I’ve made you into.

(The Man draws ever closer, and a chill goes down Risa’s spine. Her visible distress culminates in a whimper of utter fear.)

Man: I’ve done what your own father was too busy to do. Too wrapped up in his little experiments to do. I made you into a shrewd businesswoman, fully capable of running a massive company such as SOUL. Into a cold, calculating and uncaring creature who knows that in this world, there are winners and losers, predators and prey, those who will come out on top in the end, and those who are doomed to suffer for their ignorance and inability. And you like the way you are, don’t you Risa?

(Risa nods slowly, and responds, her voice barely a whisper, sounding much less like an authoritative, in-control and confident adult, and more like a frightened, despondent child.)

Risa: (Quietly) Yes, sir.

Man: All that I’ve done for you, and this is how you thank me? By keeping secrets, telling lies, withholding the truth from your own “father”— your “true” father in every sense of the word?

Risa: (Softly) I’m sor—

Man: (Shouting) UNACCEPTABLE!

(Risa is knocked out of her chair, to the ground, as the back of the man’s fist makes contact with her face. She yelps in pain, and struggles to stand, only to have him push her back down with one foot. Lying helpless on the ground, Risa gazes up at the man’s wizened, scowling face, and finds herself filled to the very depths of her soul with fear. Fear… and then hatred.)

Man: (Calmly) But it doesn’t matter. I’ve already begun the process of uncovering the truth myself. And when I do, maybe you’ll learn to appreciate what I, Viktor Asmodeus, have done for you.

(Asmodeus lifts his foot off Risa’s back and turns to walk away, putting his hands in his pockets and casually shuffling out. As the sound of the doors slamming behind him echoes throughout the room, Risa slams her fists on the floor, kicking and screaming in complete and utter fury.)

***

(Meanwhile, in a quiet, desolate cellblock, far and away from where the majority of criminals are confined, Kôhei & Mikoto wait silently in a dark cell, their still-ambiguous guilt allowing for some leniency and thus their being confined together. Kôhei, arms folded, paces back and forth, as Mikoto simply stares vacantly at the bars confining them. Trying to lighten the mood, she grins and turns to the young man.)

Mikoto: (Cheerful) Don’t worry, Keiji-san, I’m sure Maya and Kanagawa-san will find some way to prove our innocence. I’m putting my faith in them.

Kôhei: (Grimly) That’s exactly why I’m worried. Kanagawa’s good, but is he Kurobe Kôhei good?

(Mikoto rolls her eyes.)

Kôhei: And Maya— well, if she gets us out of this one, even I’ll admit I didn’t see it coming. And even if they do get us out, there’s still plenty of cans of loose ends that have yet to be let out of the bag.

Mikoto: (Cheerful) Aw, don’t sweat it. Did I ever tell you about the time this happened to my dad?

Kôhei: (Looking at Mikoto) He was also framed for a crime he didn’t commit?

Mikoto: (Cheerful) Yeah!

Kôhei: (Glum) What was he accused of?

Mikoto: (Tilting head) Uh… assault and battery against officers of the law, I guess it was.

Kôhei: (Disbelieving) How on Earth did he get out of that!?

Mikoto: (Tilting head further) Let’s see… well, to tell you the truth, I dunno! He could never really explain that part to me. He just kind of… “did”, you know?

Kôhei: (Grimly) Oh, that’s it. (Ecstatic) We’re doomed!!!

***

(Kanagawa and Maya rush into a laboratory-looking room to find the professor, a shaggy, lab coat-wearing man in his early 40's, holding a broom and staring up. They also look up, and see the caterpillar mutant Nanatsu-Kemushi hanging upside-down from the ceiling.)

Professor Mitsuya: (Turning) Who—?

Kanagawa: (Shocked) What the—!?

Maya: (Thinking) A new Kaijin!?

Nanatsu-Kemushi: MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI! Well, well! Ryûsaki! We meet at last!

Kanagawa: (Surprised) What!?

Professor Mitsuya: I don’t know who you people are, but that thing is dangerous!

Maya: You don’t need to tell me that! Keiji-san, get that guy out of here!

Kanagawa: But Ryûsaki-san—!

(Nanatsu-Kemushi suddenly pulls back his head and spits out a white, silky substance towards Maya.)

Maya: (Yelling) Just do it! ACK!

(As the stuff wraps itself around Maya and pulls her to the ground, Kanagawa grabs the other man by the shoulder and books it. Maya writhes and struggles on the ground as she feels the silk bond start to close in and crush her.)

Maya: (Gritting teeth) You… agh… you’re with… grrr… Geier!?

Nanatsu-Kemushi: (Nodding) Yes indeed! I’m Nanatsu-Kemushi, and you’re dead, Ryûsaki!

Maya: (Growling) We’ll see about that!

(Maya manages to shred the silk off of her and jumps to her feet.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: (Surprised) Hmph…! You’re stronger than you look, girl!

Maya: I don’t know what you’re up to now, Geier, but it stops here!

(Maya pulls the sling off her arm and tosses it aside. She momentarily winces from the pain, then assumes the Henshin pose.)

Maya: HENSHIN… SIGMA!

(Maya does her respective Henshin sequence. The Henshin Belt appears around her waist, and as she finishes, energy pulses forth from the spiraling center. The young woman changes into Kamen Rider Sigma in a flash of brilliant light. Nanatsu-Kemushi just stays put, watching her. Sigma points up at the cyborg mutant.)

Sigma: Ikuzô!

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Koi!

(Sigma leaps up and prepares to kick down the Geier Kaijin, but Nanatsu-Kemushi drops and grabs her mid-jump, bringing both to the ground. They struggle about on the floor, before Sigma gets to her feet and gives the insectoid monstrosity a swift kick in the face. The battle spills outside into the backyard where Sigma and her enemy exchange punches, kicks, and chops as they attempt to block or dodge the other’s blows. The masked heroine gets the upper hand when she delivers a hard kick to the creature’s knee, temporarily stunning him and allowing her to nail him in the stomach with a massive punch, sending him flying backwards. He quickly regains his footing though, and turns around. A chain shoots out from his large Swiss Army Knife tail, wrapping around Sigma’s neck and pulling her towards him.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Hahaha! How do you like that, Sigma? There’s plenty more where that came from!

(Sigma digs her heels into the dirt and grips the chain with her hands tightly. A large silver knife slides out of Nanatsu-Kemushi’s tail.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Anyone for some skewered Rider? Ha! MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI!

Sigma: (Not amused) You know, I hate it when guys try to get too close too quickly!

(Sigma gives the chain a mighty pull and breaks it, sending Nanatsu-Kemushi tumbling face-first onto the ground. She unwraps the remainder from her neck and throws it aside. Nanatsu-Kemushi gets up and turns around, looking quite displeased.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Grrr… You’ll pay for that!

Sigma: (Shrugging) You break it, you buy it, huh?

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Silence!

(Nanatsu-Kemushi throws his arms to his sides, and from his left arm comes forth another blade. From the right, an oversized corkscrew. Sigma tilts her head, impressed.)

Sigma: I’ll bet you go over great at parties…

Nanatsu-Kemushi: (Grumbling) The only thing that’s getting uncorked today… is your head!

Sigma: (Wincing) Oooh… that was a bad one.

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Shut up! GRRRRRRRR!!!!

(Nanatsu-Kemushi charges Sigma, who drops to the ground and sweep-kicks him. But Nanatsu-Kemushi leaps and flips over her, landing, turning and then slashing down with his left arm. Sigma crosses her own arms and meets his, stopping the blade just mere centimeters away from her head. She pushes his arms back, and then gives him a double-punch to the chest. As the cybernetic nightmare stumbles back, Sigma dashes towards him and lets him have it with a fist to the face. Shaking his head following the blow, Nanatsu-Kemushi narrows his five eyes as he glares at the young female warrior. He then rears back his head.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Kemushi-Acid!

Kamen Rider Sigma

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

(Sigma anticipates her foe’s move and rolls out of the way just as the caterpillar spits a blast of corrosive green liquid from his mouth, scorching the ground and nearby bushes.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Kamen Rider… I’m not like other Geier Kaijin. Don’t think you’ll beat me so easily! MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI!

(With that, he leaps up and lands on the roof of a nearby house, before turning and dashing away.)

Sigma: (Calling after him) If you’re so tough, why are you running away!?

(Reverting back to Maya, the girl again grabs her arm in pain.)

Maya: OUCH! (Grimacing) I forgot about my arm… I’m lucky it worked so well back there.

(Maya, looking worse of the wear as usual after a fight, walks around the house to find Kanagawa & the professor waiting by the car.)

Kanagawa: Ryûsaki-san! What happened? Where’d that creature go?

Maya: (Shaking head) I tried to stop it, but… he got away.

Kanagawa: (Folding arms) You know, you should be more careful and leave this kind of thing up to the police.

Maya: (Rolling eyes) Careful, Keiji-san– you’re starting to sound like Kôhei-kun.

(Kanagawa, getting the hint, looks down)

Maya: Anyway, how’s... Professor Mitsuya, I presume?

Professor Mitsuya: (Looking quite upset) Yes, that’s me. Thank you for saving me back there, um…

Maya: (Grinning) Ryûsaki Maya. And this is—

Kanagawa: (Butting in) Detective Kanagawa Kazuo, Tokyo MPD.

(The young detective fumbles around for his badge.)

Professor Mitsuya: MPD, huh? I thought your people had me under observation?

Kanagawa: (Frowning) We did, and it was supposed to be discrete.

Professor Mitsuya: (Grinning) Well, they were right where I expected them to be every day— except today. Right when that monster got in.

Kanagawa: What was that thing, anyway? (Skeptical) And why did it know you, Ryûsaki-san?

Maya: (Shrugging) Uh… guess I’m just popular these days, you know?

Professor Mitsuya: (Grimly) That thing… that creature said it was under orders from something called “Geier”, and it wanted me and the plans for my Thermal Accelerator!

Kanagawa: (Surprised) Guy R? I’ve heard that name before!

Maya: (Flatly) “Geier”, not “Guy R”.

Kanagawa: (Scratching head) Oh. Anyways, what’s this about a Thermal Accelerator?

Professor Mitsuya: It’s something I’ve been working on for the past few months. It’s still in the preliminary stages, although a small prototype was built– unfortunately, it was stolen from my laboratory a few days ago. I thought I had just misplaced it, but this incident confirms it was definitely theft. Thankfully without my knowledge, it’s impossible to operate.

Maya: So what does it do exactly?

Professor Mitsuya: Well, I’m involved with researching global warming, as you both probably know. The idea behind the Thermal Accelerator is two fold— one, it will allow us to turn areas of extreme cold into hospitable environments where people can live and food can be grown. And by doing so, if my theories are correct, we’ll be able to diminish the possibility of a future global disaster because the worldwide temperature imbalance will slowly be corrected.

Maya: (Skeptical) Wait a minute… so you mean that by diminishing the number of cold areas on earth, we’re actually slowing down global warming?

Professor Mitsuya: Not slowing down exactly, but cutting the chances of worldwide catastrophe thanks to— well, it’s all a lot of scientific mumbo-jumbo, but if you read any of my books you’ll see that it could work!

Kanagawa: Okay, I think we get the picture. So why would these Geier people want this thing?

Professor Mitsuya: My guess is for exactly the reason I hoped it wouldn’t be used—causing that worldwide catastrophe by melting polar ice caps, and thus flooding the world!

Maya: (Flatly) Doesn’t that all sound like two sides of the same though? I mean with what you’re doing?

Professor Mitsuya: Maybe it is, maybe not— the point is, science is perhaps the most dangerous weapon mankind has ever created.

(Maya & Kanagawa just glance at each other.)

Professor Mitsuya: (Continuing) It has to be used responsibly, and I believe if my invention can be used in the best possible way, it will benefit everyone, us and the Earth. As for what Geier plans to do though… well, as long as they don’t have me, we need not worry.

Kanagawa: Huh? I thought you said they were also after your plans?

Professor Mitsuya: (Grinning) The plans are all in my head. I never write down any of my blueprints for fear that they may someday be used in the wrong manner. A colleague of mine taught me that trick. (Chuckling) Of course, I didn’t count on them just coming and trying to take me instead!

Kanagawa: If that’s the case, then we’d better make sure they don’t get a hold of you.

Maya: Hey Keiji-san… didn’t you say Professor Mitsuya has a daughter?

Professor Mitsuya: Oh yes, Megumi. She’s in school right now. (Skeptically) I don’t suppose you have people watching her, too?

Kanagawa: (Gruffly) I’ll be sure to raise a fuss about that to the superiors some day. Right now, we’d better get on over to your daughter’s school. I’m almost positive she’s in danger as well.

***

(Our heroes are soon back on the road along with Mitsuya. Maya gently rubs her arm, dwelling on her recent battle. Suddenly, she is jolted forward as Kanagawa slams on the breaks.)

Maya: (Surprised) Hey, what’s up!?

Kanagawa: (Shocked) Look over there!

(Kanagawa points out the window, and Maya looks across the busy intersection to see none other than Shirotani, Senior Officer #2, walking along quickly, albeit now dressed in a heavy trench coat with accompanying hat and sunglasses.)

Maya: (Puzzled) Huh? I don’t see anything unusual. Well, aside from the shifty-looking guy, but—

Kanagawa: That’s Shirotani! The guy Kurobe-san said framed him!

Maya: Huh!? Keiji-san, that could be anybody! How can you tell from here?

Kanagawa: (Serious) I know him well enough to pick him out of a crowd— even with some generic incognito disguise! Sorry Professor, but we’re going to need to take a little detour!

(Kanagawa burns rubber and the car takes off in pursuit… going right past Shirotani. Stopping several blocks later, Kanagawa shrugs apologetically while Maya rolls her eyes and puts a hand to her head.)

Maya: (Flatly) We’ll continue from here on foot.

***

(A short time later. From the docks of the expansive Tokyo Harbor, one can just see the sun begin to make its ascent towards high noon. Shirotani, hands in coat pockets, casually strolls along the dock towards an imposing-looking warehouse. Following behind at a safe distance are Maya, Kanagawa, and Mitsuya. As the man reaches his destination, Maya motions for the other two to duck behind the large shipping containers they’ve been carefully sticking to in their pursuit. The former MPD official stops before a small, rusted door at the warehouse’s side, looks around suspiciously, and then opens the door, closing it behind him. Once she’s sure the coast is clear, Maya silently motions to the two men and the three make their way over to the warehouse, slipping in the same door. Inside, it’s dark, and there are many wooden and metal crates neatly stacked in large columns all over the place. Maya and her companions scurry behind some of the boxes to avoid being seen. They make their way through the warehouse, quietly and quickly, until they find Shirotani. And much to Kanagawa’s shock, his senior officer is meeting with none other than Nanatsu-Kemushi & Tiger-Tora!)

Senior Officer #2: (Upset, pointing to Tiger-Tora) What!? What are you doing hanging around here?

Tiger-Tora: (Growling) GRRRRRR… None of your business!

Nanatsu-Kemushi: (Scoffing) The Shuryô ordered that we keep him around. Just in case.

Maya: (Thinking) Shuryô?

Senior Officer #2: (Annoyed) But why? We don’t need losers like him!

(Tiger-Tora is about to take a swing at his fellow disguised Kaijin, but Nanatsu-Kemushi stops him with a raise of his arm.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Orders are orders. You know that.

Senior Officer #2: (Grumbling) Fine then… anyways, what about Mitsuya?

Nanatsu-Kemushi: (Shaking head) Kamen Rider Sigma intervened. Don’t worry though, there’s still his daughter.

Kanagawa: (Thinking) Kamen Rider Sigma?

Nanatsu-Kemushi: We already have agents tailing her, and when the time is right, they’ll—

(Suddenly, Mitsuya rises up and catches all three Kaijin off guard. Kanagawa gasps silently as Maya smacks her forehead.)

Professor Mitsuya: (Yelling) You keep your dirty hands off her, you monsters!

Tiger-Tora: (Surprised) What the hell!?!

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Well, well, well! Mitsuya!

(Kanagawa, gun drawn, and Maya quickly join him.)

Tiger-Tora: YOU!

Senior Officer #2: (Scowling) Kanagawa...

Kanagawa: (Yelling) Shirotani!

(He glances around, uneasily.)

Kanagawa: Uh… sir. What’s going on here!?

Senior Officer #2: (Putting a hand to his face) Shirotani is dead. Now, there is only…

(Light and smoke encircle Senior Officer #2 as he changes to Hitode-Compass.)

Hitode-Compass: KOOOOOOONNNNNPPPPPPPASSSSSUUUUUUUU! Hitode-Compass!

(Kanagawa’s mouth drops open as he lowers his gun, and Maya clenches her fists.)

Maya: So Kôhei-kun was right! You are with Geier!

Hitode-Compass: Indeed, Sigma! But you won’t live to tell anyone else about it!

Kanagawa: (Shocked) Ryûsaki-san...what is going on!?

Maya: (Grimly) Kanagawa-san… get the Professor out of here…

(Maya sighs.)

Maya: … Again.

(To Maya’s surprise though, Kanagawa grabs her by the arm and stares right into her eyes.)

Kanagawa: (Sternly) I don’t think so! You need to come clean with me, Ryûsaki-san!

Maya: (Gulping) Look, right now isn’t exactly the best time, Keiji-san

Kanagawa: I don’t care! What’s going on here? Why do those monsters know you and keep calling you “Kamen Rider Sigma”!?

(Maya surprises Kanagawa by breaking off from his grip and turning to the Geier villains.)

Maya: (Serious) Because, Keiji-san… I am Kamen Rider Sigma. HENSHIN…

(Mitsuya & Kanagawa watch open-mouthed as Maya assumes the Henshin pose.)

Maya: … SIGMA!!!

(Maya leaps into the air, letting the incredible transforming energy take hold and alter her into Kamen Rider Sigma. She lands gracefully between the stunned humans and Geier Kaijin.)

Sigma: If you want the Professor… you’re going to have to get through me!

Tiger-Tora: No problem! TIGER-TIRE!

(The tiger mutant chucks one of his wheels of rubbery death at Sigma, knowing full well she’ll have to take it or risk allowing harm to come to those behind her. But the masked heroine swiftly kicks it right back into him, sending him flying backwards and bringing a tower of crates crashing down on top of him. Nanatsu-Kemushi & Hitode-Compass each look back, stunned, and then turn their attention back to their enemy. Sigma turns to look at a shocked Kanagawa & Mitsuya.)

Sigma: (Pleading) Please, Keiji-san...get out of here now!

(Kanagawa nods nervously and he and the other man make a run for it. Sigma turns her attention back to the beastly villains.)

Sigma: Ikuzô!

Nanatsu-Kemushi: MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI-MUUUUUSHHHIIIIIII!!!

Hitode-Compass: KOOOOONNNNNPPPPAAAAAAAASSSUUUUUU!!!

(The Geier Kaijin charge at Sigma, who leaps towards them and nails them both in the face with a split kick. But as soon as they’re knocked to the ground a blinding blur takes Sigma out of the air and pins her down. It’s Tiger-Tora, now looking very, very unhappy.)

Tiger-Tora: (Snarling) You! By the time I’m done with you, your entrails will be— UMPH!

(Tiger-Tora’s voice cracks as Sigma knees him in the groin and flips him off of her.)

Sigma: (Irked) I hate it when they do things like that.

(Sigma gets to her feet just in time to see the other two monsters charging yet again. She strikes a dynamic pose and prepares for the oncoming attack. Nanatsu-Kemushi goes first, lunging at her with his arm-blades. Sigma blocks and pushes his arms down, boosting herself up and kicking him in the chest. Hitode-Compass slashes at her back with his own clawed hands, knocking her down and sending sparks flying. On the ground again, Sigma rolls out of the way as both Kaijin stamp down with their feet in an attempt to turn the female combatant into nothing but gunk on the floor. Sigma rises up and punches, kicks and chops at both of her enemies, dodging some of their blows and taking others on the chin. Tiger-Tora, having recovered from his very personal attack, complicates matters by joining the fray. Soon enough, all three Kaijin are beating up on Sigma, sending her flying about like a basketball being thrown as if it were a time bomb. Hitode-Compass grabs her by the throat and lifts her over his back, slamming her right into Nanatsu-Kemushi’s oncoming foot. Knocked to the ground yet again, a blurry-eyed and very worn out Sigma rises just in time to see Hitode-Compass leap into the air and perform a flying body slam into her.)

***

(Kanagawa and Mitsuya have since made it outside, but turn back suddenly to see Sigma come crashing through the wall of the warehouse, soon followed by the three Kaijin. After rolling to a stop amidst the debris and wreckage, Sigma slowly begins to stir. Just in time for Nanatsu-Kemushi to come over and put a foot on her back, pushing her down again.)

Kanagawa: (Yelling) Ryûsaki-san!

Nanatsu-Kemushi: MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI! Hahaha, looks like this is it, Sigma!

Sigma: (Slowly) N-not…not on your life!

(Sigma surprises her foes by suddenly leaping up, knocking Nanatsu-Kemushi on his back. She split kicks the other two monsters and jumps backwards, landing some distance away. She then strikes one of her respective battle poses.)

Sigma: Come on, we’re just getting started!

(Nanatsu-Kemushi gets to his feet, brushing himself off, and growls. He and his two fellow Kaijin slowly advance towards Sigma, spreading out and encircling her.)

Nanatsu-Kemushi: MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI-MUSHI!!!

Hitode-Compass: KOOOOONNNNNPPPAAAAAASSSSSUUUUUU!!!

Tiger-Tora: TOOOOOOOOOORRRAAAAAAA!!!

(Sigma looks around from enemy to enemy, trying to deduce who will attack first. But, the Kaijin have something else in mind.)

Tiger-Tora: TIGER-TIRE!

Hitode-Compass: HITODE-BAKUDAN!

(Sigma ducks as the two mutants throw their projectiles, but that’s exactly what they counted on. The weapons collide, creating a massive explosion and sending Sigma flying. She lands hard on the ground, screaming out as she feels even more pain wash over her arm. The Kaijin laugh and snicker, and Nanatsu-Kemushi, arms folded, turns around and sends off another chain at Sigma. This one wraps around her ankles, and with a mighty pull, the caterpillar monster sends her airborne, right in time to collide with Hitode-Compass, forcing her back to the ground. As Sigma lies writhing in pain, feeling like every bone in her body has broke, the three Kaijin close in on her.)

***

(Unbeknownst to any of the combatants though, yet another mysterious figures watches them from high atop a nearby ironworks structure. The lithe, curvy shape of her body reveals her to be female, and a gunmetal-colored Henshin Belt is placed around her hips. In the center of the belt is a circular panel, split down the middle, with a strange symbol on it. She speaks, in a confident, smooth voice.)

Mysterious Woman: … Henshin.

(Her lips curl into a sly smile as the circular panels split, revealing a swirling, glowing green orb beneath. A cold, emotionless female voice emanates from the belt.)

Henshin Belt: ACTION.

***

(Down below...)

Hitode-Compass: (Snickering) Hahaha… looks like you’re beaten, Sigma.

Nanatsu-Kemushi: Now you see what happens when you mess with us?

Tiger-Tora: Hahaha! I’ve been waiting too long for this! TOOOOORRRRRRAAA!!!

Hitode-Compass: Mmmm. But, before we start ripping you to pieces, I want to make this the ultimate defeat. Not only will you have been beaten and broken… but also reduced to a mere human!

(The large compass on Hitode-Compass’s chest glows and an eerie beam of multi-colored light descends upon Sigma, changing her back to Maya in an instant.)

Hitode-Compass: Like that, Sigma? Or should I say Ryûsaki… since my Anti-Henshin Ray will render you unable to change for a good hour or so. Just enough time for us to finish painting the docks red with what remains of you. Hahaha!

Maya: (Gritting teeth) You… you won’t get away with this—

Hitode-Compass: Too late! We already have! Your friends are in jail, the professor is as good as ours once we have his daughter, and in a few minutes, you’re going to be dead! Well, as a final jest, I might as well tell you that it was I who was behind your last de-transformation…

Maya: What!? You mean the other night!?

Hitode-Compass: Indeed! That was my doing! A shame that Tiger-Tora here couldn’t finish you off… but maybe this time, he’ll be able to do it since there’s no one to come to your aid! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(Tiger-Tora gruffly steps in front of the other two Kaijin, and considers his large tire-wielding arm thoughtfully. He then points it right as Maya.)

Tiger-Tora: It’s over, Sigma!

(Suddenly, a familiar-sounding loud roar is heard, and all three Kaijin turn just in time to see the tire of Kamen Rider Lilith’s motorcycle in their faces. The villains are scattered like bowling pins as Lilith swerves and comes to a sudden stop between them and Maya. The young woman looks up at her savior with eyes full of disbelief and shock, but before she can utter any sort of thanks, Lilith glares down at her, the masked being’s green glowing eyes burning back into her own.)

Lilith: (Coldly) Come on, you can do better than that.

(Maya’s mouth slowly drops, and Lilith turns her attention back to the terrible trio.)

Tiger-Tora: (Shocked) It’s… it’s her!

Nanatsu-Kemushi: (Surprised) Another Rider!?

Hitode-Compass: (Snarling at Tiger-Tora) GRRRR… Well, you wanted to get revenge. Looks like it’s your chance!

Tiger-Tora: (Sneering) Indeed… Alright, you’re mine, you @#$%&!

Lilith: (Coldly) Ooooh...you just made it personal.

(Lilith slinks off of her vehicle. The icy undertone of the last word actually causes the Geier Kaijin to step back. She cracks her knuckles very loudly.)

Lilith: I was going to let you off easy, and leave you to the kid… but, you want another go at me, right? Well then, take your best shot… and make it count.

(Kamen Rider Lilith puts her arms to her sides, preparing for battle. Regaining his composure, the feline mutant roars and charges at his smaller opponent as his compatriots wisely hang back and watch. In a virtual re-enactment of the previous night’s sortie, Tire-Tora rushes right at Lilith, and she prepares to once again kick him in the stomach. But he suddenly leaps up and right at her, his skull-crushing teeth on display.)

Tire-Tora: You’re dead!

(Just as the Kaijin prepares to deliver a lethal bite to the mysterious Rider’s neck, Lilith grabs him out of the air with lightning-fast reflexes, pulling him over her as she twists around. He goes right over her head and shoulder, and straight into the concrete below as she slams him head-first towards the ground. But it doesn’t stop there. No sooner has he impacted then Lilith rockets up into the air, still holding the upside-down Kaijin. In midair, she drops him, and he plummets like a stone. Despite being momentarily stunner, Tire-Tora twists his body around in an attempt to land on his feet… and soon finds Lilith slamming into him from behind with both feet. Both of them slam into the dock, sending up splinters of concrete as the black and white Rider sends her enemy right into the ground again. Before the Geier cyborg can recover though, Lilith’s foot is on his head, crushing it down into the pavement again and again. With every ounce of his strength, Tire-Tora lifts himself up, roaring. Concrete and dust flies everywhere. The Kaijin’s entire front side is a mess of scars, cuts and blood. He roars psychotically.)

Tire-Tora: RRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

(But to the Kaijin’s surprise, Lilith is nowhere to be seen.)

Tire-Tora: WHERE IS SHE!? WHERE IS SHE!?

(As if in response, Lilith brutally punches him across the back of the head.)

Lilith: Try looking behind you some time.

(Roaring, Tire-Tora turns to face his enemy, only to have a razor-sharp, swirl-edged shuriken stabbed right in his left eye.)

Tire-Tora: AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!

(Lilith punches him across the face again and again, before coldly kicking him down. Deciding to intervene more for the opportunity and less for aiding their fellow Kaijin, Nanatsu-Kemushi and Hitode-Compass rush at Lilith from behind, but she quickly turns, grabbing silver half-spheres from her elbows, which convert into yet more shuriken, and throwing them all in one motion. They hit their targets in the chests, momentarily stunning the Kaijin. Lilith turns her attention back to Tire-Tora, who he once more trying to right himself. Maya, beaten down and exhausted, watches all of this with utter disbelief. As the bipedal tiger comes to his shaky feet, Lilith puts one hand on her hip, and points directly at him with the other. She then turns her hand so her palm faces up, and beckons with her finger.)

Lilith: Here, kitty-kitty-kitty…

(Tire-Tora snarls, and tries to launch another Tiger-Tire, which is just what Lilith is waiting for. She twists her hand around again, clenching her fingers into a tight fist, and lowers her wrist. A small panel on her gauntlet slides back, and a large, serrated spearhead attached to a chain rockets out, slicing through the air, and running straight through the Geier Kaijin. Shocker, Tire-Tora can only cough up a pint of blood in response. Lilith suddenly snaps her arm back, literally pulling the Kaijin off of his feet and reeling her towards him. Her waiting fist makes contact with his throat, and as if hit by the greatest clothesline in history, Tire-Tora spins back and slams into the ground. Lilith pulls the chain from him and it retracts back into her arm.)

The Kaijin lies groaning on the ground. His fellow Geier mutants can only watch on, still trying to recover from the shuriken. Maya, both amazed and frightened by the power of this new warrior, waits with baited breath. Lilith slinks over the beaten monster, and kneels down next to him. He makes a last-ditch grab for her throat, but she grabs his arm in mid-motion, and with a tight squeeze, splits everything in her grip in two. Dropping his now useless arm, she tilts her head down low to his ear.)

Lilith: (Quietly) You know what happens now?

(With that, Lilith grips one of the silver ovals on her kneecaps, taking it off and placing it right on the Kaijin’s heaving chest. Two thick black lines form a cross in the center of it, and upon being stuck on the monster, the found sections made by these lines open outwards, revealing a dull, blinking green light in the middle. Lilith stands, turns, and walks away as if she doesn’t have a care in the world. The blinking light, accompanied by a soft beep, glows steadily faster. Oblivious to the device on his chest, Tire-Tora stands slowly, growling. Through his blurred vision, he sees the target of his wrath slowly strut away. His blood-smeared lips curl into a snarl, showing his chipped and broken teeth. He points his tire-wielding arm right at Lilith, preparing for a last-ditch attack. The beeping has now grown to an almost constant whine, and the light in the center of the device is now solid green.)

Tire-Tora: TO—

(Before he can finish, Tire-Tora explodes as the device on him ignites and charges his entire body with destructive energy. Bits and pieces of mutant cyborg fly everywhere as Lilith continues to casually walk towards Maya & the other two Kaijin.)

Lilith: I win.

(As the flames of her previous opponent die down, Kamen Rider Lilith cracks her knuckles once again, preparing for the next fight…)

To Be Continued...
